About Katie

I grew up on the East End of Long Island and spent several years in California working in floral design before returning to Montauk. Those experiences gave me a relaxed, thoughtful approach to my work—one that values everything from a large installation to a single bud vase.

I believe floral design goes beyond arranging stems. It’s about creating atmosphere—shaping the feeling of a room and helping a space become more meaningful. For weddings and events, that means setting the tone of a celebration. For individuals, it’s helping a house feel like home. And for businesses, it’s bringing a brand to life through details people remember, even if they can’t quite say why.

Floral design with local roots and a feel for the moment.

Various colorful flowers including pink, white, purple, and peach, arranged in white vases and pots.

I keep the process calm and collaborative, from planning through installation. My style leans natural and refined—never extreme—so the flowers can fit a range of spaces, moods, and people.

The meaning behind the name…

Laurel Florals is named after Laurel Drive—the street where my family's home was built.

It’s a reminder of the values I was raised with: hard work, care for others, and a strong sense of home. Those roots still guide how I approach my work today.
